Panacur Granules are a 22% ww treatment for roundworm and tapeworm in adult cats and dogs as well as puppies and kittens. Milbemycin oxime is a strong worming medication that kills all kinds of intestinal worms at any stage of their life cycle. It’s only available on prescription in the UK, so you’ll need to get a script from your vet to buy it. The syringe of Panacur Paste for horses is marked per 100kg of body weight. Assess bodyweight as accurately as possible and then administer one or a combination of the above sachets, which most closely doses this bodyweight. The dose should be administered by mixing into the feed. For dogs and cats, simply give 1ml of Panacur Liquid per 1kg of body weight, for dogs over 64kg an additional 1ml is required for each additional kg of bodyweight. You can add the liquid to food, or administer it orally after feeding. Dogs and cats over 6 months should be treated 2 to 4 times a year as a precaution. Panacur for puppies is best used as a liquid or paste for accurate dosing and ease of use, although granules may be used. Adult dogs and catsshould be treated with either Panacur Worming Granules 1g sachet which treats up to 2kg bodyweight, Panacur Worming Granules 1.8 sachet which treats 4kg bodyweight or a Panacur Worming Granules 4.5g sachettreating 10kg bodyweight. Nitroscanate is a relatively gentle dewormer that appears in lots of supermarket worming tablets, and kills tapeworms as well as roundworms. It’s fairly effective but notoriously toxic in high doses, so be extra careful to give your dog the smallest appropriate dose for his or her weight. Every once in awhile, your veterinarian gives you unpleasant news. Sometimes, that news sounds like this: “ Your dog has worms.” Adult dogs and cats should have a syringe graduation per 0.5kg bodyweight. One syringe will treat up to 9kg bodyweight and has 18 syringe graduations. Mix the correct dosage of Panacur in with your pet's usual food and ensure they eat the entire dosage. You may require one or a combination of the various sachets to administer the correct dosage to your pet.
