I read a lot and I always know that David Baldacci is an author I enjoy. I have enjoyed reading the 6:20 Man and am surprised it’s on a stand-alone list. I thought for sure Travis had more adventures ahead. But then again there are many characters that could be moving along from the other series and they all take time. Wainwright was readying a Stryker saw that she would use to cut open Berkshire’s skull. She said, “Definitely jibes with the external injuries.” Milligan read down the screen. “Okay, got it. It’s over near Reston Hospital. They handle terminal cases, obviously.” Kudos, Mr. Baldacci for keeping the series strong and the stories sharp. I look forward to each new book you have and can assure you that I remain a fervent fan of all your work. Liked everything about this book. Narration, characters, story line. Hated it to end " — Joanne, 6/12/2017

A compelling puzzler...Baldacci is a truly gifted storyteller, and this novel is a perfect "fix" for the thriller aficionado. — Associated Press His college life was the time in which he took part in various short stories and many screenplays which derived his interest in the writing stories field! It was late morning and the streets were not as crowded as they would have been earlier. Still, there were a great many pedestrians and the street hummed with activity as cars passed up and down with some vehicles making their way into an underground parking garage at the Hoover Building. Baldacci was a consulting producer on King & Maxwell, a TNT television series based on his characters Sean King and Michelle Maxwell. Jon Tenney and Rebecca Romijn starred. The set-up for The Fix is one of the best this master of the thriller has ever come up with, and there is no letdown as Amos and his associates dig into an increasingly bizarre case…[Baldacci’s] plotting is more masterful than ever, and The Fix is nothing less than terrific from start to finish.” — Connecticut NewsShe nodded. “The Bureau is taking the lead on this since Dabney was a contractor for them and it happened on their doorstep. So I’m your girl.” A postmortem was legally required even though there was no doubt whatsoever as to what had caused the woman’s death.

Mrs. Dabney, we can arrange to have your children brought here when they get into town,” he said after a few moments. Let’s have a closer look,” Wainwright said. She gripped a magnifying glass set on a rotating arm and positioned it over the mark. She turned on a light and aimed it at the dead woman’s hand. Peering through the glass, she said, “Appears to be a stamp of some sort.” In this latest installment, like the previous book, Amos is still working for the FBI. On his way to a meeting in the J. Edgar Hoover Building (world headquarters for the FBI) he witnesses a murder/suicide just outside its doors. His former FBI colleagues, Alex Jamison, Ross Bogart, and Todd Milligan, are once again brought together to solve this horrible crime.of those kind of books so if you like these kind of mysteries I really think you will like it a lot. We’re just starting out, but nothing as yet. You think he was just looking to shoot someone before he killed himself and she was the closest?” Walter Dabney is a family man. A loving husband and the father of four grown daughters, he’s built a life many would be proud of. David Baldacci is one of my top favourite thriller writers. His ability to create complex plots is impressive. The characters he fictionalises are such clear 'persons'. I see them and the plot like an action movie in my mind. David Baldacci". As for Berkshire, she seems to be an enigma. Despite having a modest salary, the teacher owned a multimillion dollar condominium and a very expensive Mercedes. I recall being a little confused in book two as we met new players and those I thought I knew disappeared. Kinda. I have to admit I couldn’t really remember anyone other than Amos, but vaguely recalled former Alex Jamison… the former journalist, so was glad she was still around. And… it was nice to see Melvin Mars return for an encore appearance after meeting the former prisoner in our last outing. Wainwright said, “Heard you guys have solved quite a few old cases over the last several months. Principally the Melvin Mars matter.”Baldacci and his wife, Michelle, are the co-founders of the Wish You Well Foundation, [5] which works to combat illiteracy in the United States by funding adult illiteracy and education programs. [6] Baldacci became involved with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society after his sister, author Sharon Baldacci, was diagnosed with MS. [7] In addition to being a prolific writer, David is a devoted philanthropist, and his greatest efforts are dedicated to his family’s Wish You Well Foundation®. Established by David and his wife, Michelle, the Wish You Well Foundation supports family and adult literacy programs in the United States. Well, that’s what the meeting today was about. They were changing our assignment. Cold to hot cases. And since you were on the scene of this one, it made sense to let us work it. So we’re a go.”

He smiled, and if he’d been wearing a hat, he might have even doffed it to her in a show of courtesy. Chapter 1 had me hooked already. Baldacci has a way of bringing his characters to life. This book had more than the usual 2 story lines and ended up bringing them all together.
