Description

Callum. He was supposed to be a mafia prince but to be honest, even if he was 30 and living still with his parents, I wasn’t stunned by his strength or superiority. Description: “Brutal Prince” is the explosive first act in the epic “Brutal Birthright” series. It’s a stand-alone Dark Mafia Romance, complete with HEA and no cliffhangers. It contains blazing hot bedroom scenes for mature readers only!!!

Unarguably one of the best romance books I have read in a while, Brutal Prince by Sophie Lark is a handful when it comes to teasers. Brutal Prince teases you to read a chapter and consume even more chapters as they come.

She has a slight obsession with hiking, bodybuilding, and live comedy shows. Her perfect day would be taking the kids to Harry Potter World, going dancing with Mr. Lark, then relaxing with a good book and a monster bag of salt and vinegar chips. I broke up with Oliver Castle three months ago, but he isn’t taking the hint. He might need to take a mallet to the head instead if he doesn’t stop annoying me. Aida is the youngest child in a family of brothers. Her family also happens to be the Italian mafia. She’s grown up rough and with a hairpin trigger for her anger. Her family the Gallos, have a generational rivalry with the Griffins, an Irish family. When Aida stirs up trouble with Callum Griffin, the patriarchs of each family decide it’s time to put the feud to rest by joining their families through marriage. Aida and Callum are forced to marry and their wild relationship takes off from there!

Aida was a good fmc and Callum was hot, demanding and possessive. However, Aida really was the highlight of this book. She was wild, carefree and honest just herself. She didn’t put on any hairs nor graces for anyone or try to be someone she wasn’t. I loved seeing how sharp, attentive and intelligent she was. Aida definitely was not someone who stands by her husbands side while he conducts business. No, she was helpful, took point by offering knowledge and advice. Description: “The Spy” is (was supposed to be) the final installment in the epic dark mafia Kingmakers series. It’s a forbidden romance, full of mystery, betrayal, and an explosive conclusion that will give you the biggest book hangover of your life!

Fireworks burst into bloom above the lake, hanging suspended in the clear night air, then drifting down in glittering clouds that settle on the water. ion, and in the flare of the headlights, we see Dante’s hulking silhouette, standing right in front of us, arms crossed, looking like Michael Meyers about to murder us. Synopsis: “I loathe Alastor Shaw. The city of San Francisco thinks we’re rival artists. In truth, we’re predators battling for hunting ground. We never chased the same prey. Until the night we both laid eyes on Mara Eldritch. Shaw wants to use her as a pawn in his twisted game. I’m fixated on her for a different reason…

I was so excited to read this bc enemies to lovers?? Fake marriage?? Yes please 🤭🤭 and the book started so well with such good pacing and all plus the badass- AND JEALOUSY- scenes were just🤌, but the rest was not that good All across the USA, people are showing up dead. The deaths don't appear to be connected in any way until one particular death occurs and gets the Secretary of Defense's attention. He arranges for a task force to investigate. Description: “The Heir” is the first book in the epic dark mafia Kingmakers Series. It’s a forbidden friends-to-lovers romance filled with mystery, suspense, and kindle-melting bedroom scenes that take place everywhere but the bedroom. I see his scowl illuminated by the blue and gold light. Yup, definitely the same expression he gets when he looks at me. Aida who is heartily regretting annoying the Griffins, if only because I’m going to be trapped here until the end of time while Fergus and Papa talk and talk and talk forever . . .”Synopsis: “ Love Worth Fighting For… In the ring they call me Snow, because I’m stone cold. I don’t feel fear or pain… I don’t feel much of anything. Or at least, that’s how it was until I met innocent little Sasha. She doesn’t belong in my world. She’s trapped here because she owes a debt she can’t possibly pay… I've read spoiled heroines and I've read hellions who act first and think later. The problem here is Aida had zero depth outside of that loud crass mouth of hers. She's loud, rude, obnoxious, childish and self-absorbed. Everyone is a "punk ass bitch" to her and an attitude fitted for a teenager to go with it. She's the spoiled baby sister of the Galos who is supposed to come off like rough and tumble I guess tomboy girl but it doesn't really translate that way. She came off more lazy and spoiled who doesn't like to be told what to do. I love tomboy heroines who give as good as they get but this was not it. I wanted to strangle this little demon. This is clearly a hate to love romance but all Aida and Callum do is snipe and threaten each other which is no surprise and I'm sure there is more to come including "hot angry sex" but I don't care. They are both insufferable assholes. I want to read about characters who I want to root for, not immature childish idiots who think poisoning people as revenge is funny or stealing stuff on a whim cause they are bored. The hero Callum for his part was weak. He's a 30 year old man who lives at home running for the Aldermen position for his District but the way he acts and his dialogue didn't really ring impressive or manly to me. He's supposed to be 10 years older than Aida but it really didn't come off that way. No 30 year old guy says he wears suits to "look mature". 🙄 Just saying. Like I said, this felt more NA cause everyone talks like they are still in college. Y’all, this book was a trip! First off, this book will not be for everyone. Pay attention to the trigger warnings. This story is a true enemies to lovers. There is violence from each of the main leads. If that’s not your thing, this book won’t be for you!

Any issues with the book list you are seeing? Or is there an author or series we don’t have? Let me know! I almost like this book. ALMOST. I have been looking forward to read Brutal Prince by Miss Lark. I know this is NA romance. And like my previous experience with NA romance, I end up liking this book OK. We all want to know our players in this game, don’t we? Because of that, I have compiled the main characters of Brutal Prince for you to enjoy. 1. Aida Gallo Aida’s older brothers Dante and Nero plan to go over to Callum’s and beat him up for what he did to Sebastian. Aida catches them about to leave and offered to follow them which they declined, reminding her the entire mess was her idea, to begin with. She makes me feel things I never thought I could feel. Want things I never wanted. Only she can make me lose control. I don’t know if I should protect her at all costs… or destroy her before she ruins me. Mara knows I’m no saint. But she has no idea she’s dancing with the devil…”

Cold, ambitious, and brutal, Callum is determined to tame his headstrong bride. Aida is more than capable of giving as good as she gets – starting with poisoning Callum on their wedding night. We got off on the wrong foot when I set a (very small) fire in his house. Our families believe a marriage pact is the only thing that will prevent all-out warfare. From the moment I see her, I want her for myself. Every day that passes, I become more obsessed with her. She’s seeking the answer to a mystery, and so am I… How can I make her mine once and for all?”
