But it would seem EA are a very patriotic bunch who want to nip this in the butt and get back to American only troops in games. Once reaching level 8 in any one class the player is considered Tier 1 and assumes a different appearance, and when killed the tier 1 player's killer receives 5 extra points for killing a tier 1 player. So much so that Warfighter does not even let me engage in combat on my pace most of its runtime since even the developers knew its shallow combat cannot even sustain the 5-hour gameplay. In themselves though both are great games, but the countless clone trash that followed them and ruined the entire genre. The only downside, as with all FPS campaigns, is that it is very short lived but it is an immensely enjoyable ride while it lasts.

Medal of Honor 's multiplayer is class based, with three classes available – Rifleman, Special Ops, and Sniper. As with other reviewers MOH will always be compared to the COD games and i'm puzzled as to why it's taken EA 3 years to release this game as Infinity Ward/Activision have been knocking blockbusters out 4 in 3yrs EA have been working on this? Power-ups can then be used to score more points (whether it's helping the team by sending out a UAV, or launching mortar and rocket strikes). An extended version of the soundtrack was released in the Medal of Honor Soundtrack Collection (which contains all of the music in the Medal of Honor franchise released up to that point) which was released on March 1, 2011.

Both are modern warfare based titles, but they are very individual games that have forged their own identities in what must surely be the most competitive area of the market, and many of the core things they do brilliantly are all intimately related to the strengths of the game engines that run them. There’s that level where you’re behind enemy lines and you have to silently cap sentries with a silenced weapon to advance, and there’s that obligatory vehicle level where you drive quad bikes to outposts through a dried riverbed. I have played MOH since it 1st came out on the PS1 so i feel i'm allowed to say they need to up their game, literally! Take this airport -- drive out the defenders and claim it as your own -- and you’re just over the halfway mark towards victory. Despite making strides to be poignant, involving and layered - Medal Of Honor lacks the polish and execution to really stand above its contemporaries.

Multiplayer is fun and fast-paced, and the gunplay occupies an interesting gray area between the twitchy shooting of Modern Warfare and the more strategic use of terrain and positioning of Bad Company 2.It could work if the characters were interesting or had any real depth, but Danger Close generally plays it light on the character development outside of letting us know that Rangers joke with each other, and that Spec-Ops personnel are "bad motherf**kers," and dress like mujahideen and Al Qaeda while deep in the wilds of Afghanistan. Medal of Honor is literally a game of two halves, so to begin with, let's take a look at a selection of scenes from the single-player campaign mode.
