About this deal

Special thanks to my Patrons on Patreon for giving me extra support towards my passion for reading and reviewing! I am desperately fascinated with L’s character and do intend to find papers that others have written about him because I think there are connections to be made. That’s the other part of Death Note Short Stories that I like – seeing how the world has processed the existence of the notebook.

On top of that, the addition of the newfound information provided in the "a-Kira" story is amazing for fans of the series lore making the universe of Death Note feel that much deeper. It was also cool to read the Deathnote pilot, but I’m glad that’s not what the main story ended up being, that death eraser is pretty dumb lol. It was a good short story that shows the long-lasting effect of the Death Note being used in the main series. One of the things that always impressed me with death note was how long the events of death note spanned and so I was intrigued when the short stories started in 2013 and tuen went to 2019.Against the backdrop of a pandemic, Ohba apologized for a few jokes throughout the manga, as it is his style of writing, and hopes that audiences enjoy the manga regardless. I didn't realize this until I started working on this review, but this was actually the Death Note manga pilot. Ryuk asks if they treat him like a God, but Minoru says that Ethics taught his class that Kira was evil, while History said that he was a crazy mass murderer. The police know that the original Kira is definitely dead, so when a new Kira pops up and starts killing people over the age of 65, they know that the media's speculation that he's back is wrong. Now a high school student, Minoru accepts the notebook from Ryuk, but he has no plans to use it himself.

Death Note Short Stories gives us a couple of different characters who use the book, and each one comes with their own commentary about what someone would do if they could kill someone in an instant. Our resources are crucial for knowledge lovers everywhere—so if you find all these bits and bytes useful, please pitch in. A teacher says despite this fact Minoru repeatedly receives low grades and wonders if motivation is the problem.

Overall this was a great collection, I loved seeing more stories about the Death Note and their characters and I think my students will love it too. If I remember right, there was some Death Note rule-changing in the original series, so the rule change in this story didn't bother me much. We build and maintain all our own systems, but we don’t charge for access, sell user information, or run ads. Prve dve i poslednja priča imaju najveću težinu, dok se ostale (još kraće i komičnog karaktera) čine kao da im ovde nije mesto. And the final longer short ends up more farcical than it wants to be, everyone bobbing back to life every five minutes as names are erased from the book. He stumbles upon a notebook entitled the "Death Note", a seemingly ordinary book with incredible supernatural abilities. When I heard there would be a Death Note short story collection, to say I was excited was an understatement! Tanaka, however, is a smart student but doesn’t apply himself, seeing school as not the only means to express intelligence; we also see him listening to his music and to other people having conversations, internalising it rather than speaking out loud, the complete opposite of Light. Starting at the beginning with the "C-Kira" story, which is supposed to take place three years after the last volume of the original Death Note manga takes place, it follows Near and a new "Kira" that Near would then label "C-Kira".

Ryuk then consumes the apple and heads down to the human world to find a human who would feed him apples and give him the same kind of entertainment as Light. This section shows small parts of the lives of the main characters in Death Note told through a four-panel humorous comic style. Death Note Short Stories, as the title says, is a complete collection of Death Note short stories written by the famous duo. Death Note Short Stories does something really interesting: it gives the Death Note to people who legitimately don’t have an interest in killing, or if they do, it’s not “criminals for the sake of justice. I finished reading this one already when I reread Death Note through Death Note: All-in-One edition a few years ago.

In 2013, Midora gives Ryuk the spare notebook back and informs him that she didn't succeed with creating a new Kira. The third short stories was comic panels, completely random, not a story and throughout different times of the original story, but some quite funny moments.
