But, because this was in the late ’90s / early ’00s, it grew long in the tooth, and I wanted something different once it died on me.

Takes up less desk space than a mouse and is more comfortable during extended use, requiring less arm and wrist movement. The company's low-profile trackball design has been around since 2009, making it one of the older mouse alternatives on the market. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The SlimBlade trackball is made of high-quality materials, with a ‘metallic’ dark grey glossy plastic (the same material is even used at the bottom as well), and a shiny ‘chrome’ ring around the huge, ‘metallic’ dark red ball. And because trackballs require less wrist movement, they’re ideal for people who experience discomfort with traditional mice. On the right side of the Kensington SlimBlade Pro Trackball, we find the round push button that selects the DPI or puts the device in Bluetooth pairing mode. It only doesn’t get 5 stars because the twist scrolling, however unique and cool, is not always perfect.

by 6 inches (HWD), the device has the same shiny, graphite-colored plastic base and large ruby-red trackball. No mention of the hz, so I’m guessing the long battery life means it’s really low(250hz) like the rest of the Kensington trackballs and not high performance 1000hz like the Ploopy trackballs?

You can reprogram all its four buttons to perform several office-related tasks using its companion software, which is compatible with Windows and macOS. The Kensington SlimBlade Trackball and the Kensington Orbit Wireless Trackball with Scroll Ring are both stationary trackball mice designed for office use, and they perform similarly well, but with some key differences. For me, the 1200 and 1600 DPI modes are too much and the cursor travels completely off-screen, I never use those, but I have tested the 400 and 800 DPI settings for each connection mode. Though KensingtonWorks' simplicity makes things easier for office workers who don't care about precise customization, the baseline standards for mouse software are simply higher than this in 2023.On the bottom of the devices, we find some more differences: the SlimBlade Pro (pictured below on the left) has a storage space for the USB Dongle and a larger space for the product information sticker.

True to its name, the SlimBlade Pro is thinner and more compact than most desktop trackballs, particularly for one with a large 55mm ball. While the look is sleek and professional, fingerprints tend to collect and show up easily on the plastic shell. Besides the obvious difference in the wireless options, the new wireless SlimBlade Pro is very similar to the original SlimBlade trackball but has some notable differences. Even with the jump to wireless, the Kensington SlimBlade Pro feels dated—or, perhaps more accurately, it's a design that's always had flaws despite its longevity.Farbe: schwarz/rotBesonderheiten: programmierbare TastenKompatibel mit PC und MacEignung: PCKabellnge / Funkreichweite: 1. Fortunately I have an old powered USB1 hub handy and when I connect through that to the mouse port, it works beautifully.
