So I've started listening to the IF Podcast, learned about Gin (and her Co-Host Melanie Avalon) then continued to Gin's own podcast "Intermittent Fasting Stories" which I absolutely LOVE, so I KNEW it was about time I read her book. I have read this book at least three times and each time I uncover something else that I need to apply to my life.

The author describes the advantages and disadvantages of different kind of intermittent fasting well, worked out through her own reading and experience, some of which echo my own. She also explained the biology behind how it all works and provided extensive sources, referring readers to other books so that she could give a summary without bogging this book down with technical details.

It’s so strange how this book has taken off and developed a cult following when she literally directs you to all of the experts for further reading.

Since Gin also has two teenage sons, one husband, and three cats, she is thankful for intermittent fasting, which makes her life easier!

I also started reading the Obesity Code while reading this and I stated fasting the day a friend told me about this book and Gin's story! After reading this book I am excited to embrace the lifestyle change myself, and already know I will find myself referring back to 'Delay, Don't Deny' to keep myself inspired and and on-track. It sounded kooky and restrictive and impossible for a long while and then I Googled around and found Gin's podcast which led me to her books (Delay, Don't Deny and Feast without Fear).After 20+ years of yo-yo dieting and gaining and losing weight and feeling like a failure, this book has changed my life forever. I have seen these links in footnotes of other books, but never considered reading them myself until the author suggested it. i bought it as i had read a book by two people who had successfully used the 19/5 time restricted eating (TRE) to lose a lot of weight and, more importantly, maintain their weight loss. But as the months passed with very little progress in my weight loss journey, I kept thinking I might need to revisit DDD.
