This book is a masterclass in perfectly-timed plot reveals, 3D characters and a very clever what-can-possibly-happen-next atmosphere that keeps you turning those pages. Not too sure how to describe this book, other than the fact that this is a unique book, a plot which I won’t forget.

But Cleo has decided to shatter that perfect life by seeking to divorce her husband and ending her TV series. However, as time moves on and Heath is still there in Cleo’s life, she does fall for him, and at first they are deliriously happy.

This is another winner from a very talented author and someone whose books I will always want to read. I loved the alternating timelines that helped build a picture of the complex relationships between the characters over the years but out of all of them I think I loved Lola the most with her witty attitude and sass. I wasn't expecting to get so emotionally involved with the characters, and i have to admit that the last chapter (before the epilogue) literally had me in tears. Cleo is a successful author, but the people in her life are dying the same way as the characters in her novels are.Writing is all she's ever wanted to do, and baking and murder stories have proved a winning combination. I had high hopes for this book after seeing all the rave reviews but ultimately it fell flat for me very early one.
