Description

The new router is reaching the highter speed a good deal of the time and all our streaming and other devices are working without a hitch. Box 7530 supports Mesh Wi-Fi, meaning your videos, music and photos seamlessly reach every corner of your home, apartment or office.

Don't need to care about the distance from the green box any more, ADSL (or VDSL) issues, rebooting modems and then losing speed! Access points can be powered over Ethernet now so you don't even need power in the loft, and once done you can easily upgrade the access point in the future. Box even synchronises with your Google contacts so your home phone and mobile contacts always match and are always up to date. Our Smart Home products, based on wireless LAN, DECT and powerline standards, ensure an intelligent and secure home network. Sometimes I see the load being shared by kstoftirqd/0, kstoftirqd/1 and kstoftirqd/2 for a short time then it all goes to kstoftirqd/0. Whilst this was easy to set up on a current network, there are other interesting aspects to the Fritz box. Parental controls are a firm favourite with families looking to limit screen time and supervise their children's internet explorations.

So overall, I would rate this product and hopefully I can get it plugged straight into the phone line soon. User-friendly menus, easy-to-understand wizards, and the optional advanced mode come in handy in all scenarios. It also hasn't slowed my connection speed down at all really (like 10-20mb/s loss on download on a 330mb/s connection without). Configure the "Advanced Settings" if necessary, such as choosing the encryption method and selecting which IP addresses will be routed through the VPN. I have not used a Fritzbox for years because of the poor wifi range but in the past I have used both the Fritzbox 7590, (which also has a separate WAN port), and the Fritzbox 7530, (which only has a DSL port and four ethernet ports). My router is also a firewall, but has no wireless, no modem, and I don’t do NAT for internet access.

It's all very much pot luck really if that improves the signal or not, and the same if a new one will. So your cable company rolled out 500Mbps or 1Gbps download speeds, or you have 1Gbps symmetric fiber (GPON/EPON) from ATT or Centurylink or Orange or whoever. I have no idea how this works in terms of potential spying on the modem side but I assume its better than nothing. Instead of waiting for breath-taking HD television and your favourite music, your media will wait for you. Box always shows you which devices in the home and guest network are currently active, how they are connected with each other, and which throughput rates are available over the individual connections.I'd like to know if the different WIFI hardware inside the Fritzbox 7590 will give better range and more stable connections than the 7530.
