I feel like I got to know more about Angelo the most, but this was mainly because it was him narrating the story, so we saw it through his eyes. Hallie, Gustav, Naira and Angelo don't usually hang out together at school, let alone on a Saturday. This is a brilliant book, particularly suitable for readers aged 9 - 13 who are looking for an action-packed, horror adventure.I found the manor on the property to be quite spooky, although I would have really loved to read more about it, have some more descriptions of it, as most of the plot takes place outside or in other buildings. There was a particular vibe and atmosphere that was really spooky, and you all know I’m a sucker for a great atmosphere in a book. This one had the same kind of vibes as Home Before Dark by Riley Sager, and I kept remembering that book while reading this one. All of her characters embody the idea that you shouldn't judge someone at face value because you might never know the struggles they are going through privately. It’s lightened with lots of sparkling dialogue between the kids, the kind of authentic banter that Jennifer Killick excels at.

The four of them soon discover that horrors are lurking within the school, getting stronger by the minute. Despite this being a horror, there were several comedic moments throughout that brought a lighthearted feel to a terrifying situation.
