MG70 Pro The Tunturi MG70 Massage Gun Pro is your ultimate massage device for deep relaxation and muscle recovery. Other than the barrel and the ball head, which I’ve found to be indistinguishable, I’ve found each attachment useful and effective in their own right. It keeps the same triangle design which makes holding and maneuvering Theraguns comfortable and easy. One button on the top of the device is used to switch it on and off and control the vibrations, which can be set at speeds ranging from 1750 to 2400 percussions per minute (PPM).

We haven't tried this version that was released in 2022, but it's nearly identical to the model we tested, just slightly smaller and lighter. The power button has a panel that reads the four speeds (ranging from 1,200 to 3,200 percussions per minute) and the battery level. It wasn’t the most powerful massager on test – the first speed in particular was extremely gentle – so it’s not one for serious gym-goers, but it’s still great for releasing tension.it delivers an exceptional percussion massage helping you maintain peak physical condition and reduce injury risk. Some of the bulkier options on this list may be too cumbersome to take with you on the go, but there was no such problem with this pocket-sized model from Hyperice. It’s also a cinch to use, with one ergonomic button for all the functions and a clear LED screen to keep track of the speed settings and battery level.

Due to the rapid pulses, the technique for the Ignite Pro is super easy as the gun does all the work. It provides pin-point treatment to reduce pain and loosen up tight muscles so you can feel and move better. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The Bantam has three speeds ranging from 2,000 to 3,200 percussions per minute and provides 10 mm of amplitude and up to 35 pounds of pressure. If you're content with keeping the massage gun at home and breaking it out when needed, the Theragun Elite is a solid pick. Achedaway Pro is the first truly accessible, professional grade device that gives you the enhanced pain relief, mobility and recovery you desire.

The third Therabody product on our list, the Theragun Elite claims to reach 60% deeper into the muscle than average massagers, thanks to a hardcore 16mm amplitude. But if you have a pacemaker or an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, it may interfere with the circuitry. The Theragun attachments are made of a smooth, non-porous ‘closed cell foam’ – it felt the best against my skin, didn’t catch on my clothes and is easy to clean. Everyone has different preferences and thresholds for power and speed, but some of the massage guns we test are so lacking that our testers feel they lack effectiveness, even on the highest settings. It’s lightweight (no aching arms here) and the buttons are perfectly placed for easy access mid-pummel.

Our tester also loved the unique ‘invigor’ head, a soft attachment designed to stimulate the nerves in your hands and feet. The Renpho R4 Pro Massage Gun doesn't look as sophisticated as the other massage guns on this list, but it is still effective. A Recovapro muscle massage gun repairs muscles after a hard workout, releases muscle tension and reduces soreness. You can use a massage gun on big muscle groups like your quads, hamstrings, glutes, back muscles and even your neck, hips and calves. The battery lasts three to six hours and consists of five speeds ranging from 1,200 to 2,800 revolutions per minute.

Move slowly up and down the length of the muscle for around 30 seconds – if you find a particularly sore spot (or ‘trigger point’), spend a little more time on it, but there's no need to apply more pressure. It’s no surprise that the word ‘Theragun’ has become synonymous with ‘massage gun’, as their devices are the best built and best performing out there. The HoMedics Pro Physio Massager also features unique twist control and is rechargeable for cordless use. With up to 5 intensity levels, its foam rollers balls and massage guns utilise the benefits of vibration to help with muscular pain relief, DOMS, increased circulation and improved mobility.Percussive Therapy is based on Tapotement a form of Swedish massage involving repetitive strikes to the body.
