Description

Proudly printed by a local business in West Sussex, UK, this 50cm x 70cm tea towel is produced from 100% high-quality cotton, providing a long-lasting and soft product for your hands and dishes. The King's Guard have donned their bearskin hats and are marching in formation with pomp and ceremony. The emblem features the flora of the four nations of the United Kingdom: the rose for England, the thistle for Scotland, the daffodil for Wales, and the shamrock for Northern Ireland, combined to form St Edward’s Crown, used for the coronation of British monarchs. Turning off the personalised advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive. Created by the internationally revered designer Sir Jony Ive KBE and his creative collective, LoveFrom, the emblem symbolises and celebrates the historic beginning of the new Reign.

The emblem pays tribute to The King’s love of the natural world, unifying the flora of the four nations of the United Kingdom; the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales and the shamrock of Northern Ireland. Designed with painted watercolour effects, this coronation tea towel will make a truly special gift. There is a handy ‘loop’ on the top left corner of the tea towel so you can hang it up in your kitchen. This 100% cotton tea towel features Sophie’s delicate illustration of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla making their way from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey, surrounded by the King’s Guards.

The charming illustrations and scatter of gold-coloured dots and “CIIIR” surround the central design with Westminster Abbey, where the ceremony will take place, Buckingham Palace and words which read “Celebrating the coronation of KING CHARLES III 2023”. After the popularity or my last two commemorative drawings it was a must to illustrate my view of the King's Coronation. The emblem speaks to the happy optimism of spring and celebrates the beginning of this new Carolean era for the United Kingdom.

Together, the flowers create the shape of St Edward’s Crown, with which His Majesty The King will be crowned during the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, 6th May. This limited-edition 100% cotton tea towel features a hand-illustrated fun and whimsical design of iconic royal figures to commemorate His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort's Coronation. Emphasising the rich heritage and famous symbols of the United Kingdom, the design includes the renowned St Edward's Crown, traditionally worn by British monarchs during their coronations since the 13th century. It is recommended to select a non-biological detergent containing no optical whiteners, bleaching agents or enzymes that can cause colours to fade or become patchy and can also damage fabrics. The ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, and we expect that the day will be accompanied by the traditional celebrations for grand royal occasions: street parties, crowds lining the streets, and plenty of people snapping up royal memorabilia to remember the occasion.By ticking I state I am a UK taxpayer making a personal donation and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations, it is my responsibility to pay any difference. Full of intricate detail of London landmarks including Buckingham Palace, the Gold State Coach and Westminster Abbey where the new King will be crowned.

You can't go wrong with a new mug–and no one has ever had too many options for their morning cup of tea. Printed by a small business in the UK with care and attention to detail, the Coronation Tea Towel is a wonderful keepsake or gift idea for anyone who wants to commemorate the historic event of the coronation. For those who want to mark the passing of the last monarch, this Emma Bridgewater piece is rather glorious. However, with the loss of one beloved monarch comes the beginning of a journey with a new one, King Charles III.
