Description

This beer also offers substantial bitterness, that mooches without complementing the other flavours and sensations.

Alongside the typical ingredients of water, barley malt and hops, Leffe Blond 0.0 also include maize, sugar and vague “natural flavours”. Lemon Aspen Pilsner from @SobahBeverages . Citrus on the nose, orange marmalade, malts. Citrus when we taste too, but it's more earthy and floral than your traditional citrus fruit. Works well in the lager free-beer.co.uk/sobah-lemon-… @FreeBeer_UK - Nov 10 This beer pours a clear amber. There are a few bubbles that scare up a slight head. But it soon disappears, leaving it looking a little flat. Do not open any bottles shortly after delivery. They are likely to be very volatile and cause spillage. In the unlikely event of any broken glass we would recommend to leave the broken glass in the box and only extract those bottles that are undamaged. Then dispose of the box, including broken glass, safely in an appropriate manner.

Leffe Blond 0.0 comes in a 250ml serving, smaller than the standard 330ml, 440ml and 500ml servings I’m more used to. Ingredients Later, Interbrew (now AB-Inbev) bought the brewery. It’s now apparently brewed alongside Stella Artois.

Svart/Hvit from @nogneo . Treacle, coffee, roasted malts and vanilla on the nose, restrained bitterness with more roasted grains, coffee and a slight caramel sweetness as we taste. Lovely hefty body. Could easily pass for a full-fat stout free-beer.co.uk/nogne-o-svar… #alcoholfree @FreeBeer_UK - Sep 5 Another recent addition to AB-Inbev’s non-alcoholic portfolio is Leffe“Blond 0.0”, an alcohol-free version of its well-regarded beer of the same name. One of the biggest mistakes many drinkers make when sampling non-alcoholic beer is comparing it to their favourite full-strength beer. Over the intervening few centuries, Leffe marked itself out as a brewery of quality. The abbey was seriously damaged in the years around the French Revolution but managed to keep brewing until 1809. During the First World War, many of the brewing kettles were melted down for ammunition.

Sure, there are a handful of non-alcoholic beers out there that rival their alcohol counterparts. But it’s much better to compare NA beer with other non-alcoholic options like soda, coffee, water and so on. And bear in mind for every superb full-strength beer there are dozens of poor ones.

Abbaye de Leffe in Dinant was founded in the 12th century and, like most abbeys and churches, they built a brewery to serve drinks to parishioners and pilgrims. Most people, including children, drank beer of some sort as it was much safer to drink than water.

Leffe Blond 0,0% - 1/3L

These types of comparison are a significant issue for producers that are releasing non-alcoholic versions of full-strength beers, where drinkers are naturally likely to compare the NA version with the original. Produce something that’s not up to scratch, and they risk affecting the reputation of the entire brand.
